Here's two locomotives that have not been done yet in O gauge, and could get a lot of mileage.

Here is a lashup of B23-7's in conrail pulling a local freight to oak point yard in the Bronx. I would take either the B36-7's or the B23's yes with the kinematic pilots and road specific details.
Hopefully we get Brass Hybrid C&O Kanawhas & Virginian Berkshires:

I could definitely see Kanawhas as a possibility. MTH attempted them and did a fair job, so there is a market. That said, I'd leave these for 3rd Rail to do. I think 3rd Rail would be much better detail-wise, but Brass Hybrid is always good.
Never seen a Virginian Berk but I'm sure somebody would buy it. Doesn't look like it would be difficult to make either.
A new LCS product called the “Lionchief to Legacy Bridge”
McCloud River Railroad Company Exterior-Braced 50' Double-Door Boxcars with roller bearing trucks and flexible couplers to prevent derailments on curves. 2 or 3 road numbers.

I think another cool LCS product that lionel should make is a "DCS to Legacy bridge", I think it would be really cool to operate MTH locmotives on the legacy system.

Indeed Nick, it'd be fun to run MTH with Lionel engines, that really help us out over on the club layout as well. Anywho, I sadly doubt that Lionel will make a bridge system to there biggest competitors system, however I think there's a small model company trying to make a bridge themselves.
"Anywho, I sadly doubt that Lionel will make a bridge system to there biggest competitors system, "
In the past, the problem wasn't Lionel's lack of interest. Any time anyone proposed a third party use of DCS they received a letter from MTH or their lawyers. Perhaps that has changed.

*MTH complains there systems are getting used by others*
*Steals and makes models from Lionel for tinplate models*
PRSL AS-16. Not a beauty to most eyes, but if you're from South Jersey from the 50s through the mid-70s, you know them well.
I would like to see Lionel resume producing its Standard O rolling stock and passenger cars with its best in class die-cast sprung trucks and couplers with hidden uncoupling tabs.

I second that. Thumbtacks look really goofy on scale products and having to cut them off gets old real fast.
How about a UP NW2 in Yellow?

Ummmm...
MTH makes Lionel tinplate under license from Lionel.
Plus Jerry Williams was making reproduction Lionel tinplate long before MTH came along.

Before a war starts, shady things in business happen all the time and nobody is ever truly innocent. I can name 3 companies off the top of my head that have stolen from each other.
Do you think that the catalog would be out by the 3rd week in January? FB page Ryan did state that the catalogs would be out in January for sure, cutoff some time in March.
I can agree, let's just cool it and I will admit I said something's that where rude, I apologize so let's try and have a good conversation. I joined to try and meet people with the same interest, not fight with people about the same interest.
My guess of the new 2018 catalog release date would have to be between January 17 - 31, 2018.
Hmm, well would I would like to see from Lionel in 2018 is a make of a legacy SDP40F. The loco could come in the 3 different Amtrak phases it served, and also have a Maseresk Sealand and ATSF rebuild scheme as after they where proven unreliable, some where sold to ATSF and made into FP45 rebuilds with freight equipment, while some where also sold to Maseresk Sealand where the last one in excistance resigns at Dynamic Rail Preservation Inc. You could also technically make them into a patched ATSF BNSF unit becaseu they served very little time of BNSF as well. Here is a picture of the loco below in a phase one paint scheme.
Alco HH660 would be a nice.

Yeah, it's always good to include shunters in catalogs that aren't of a lower quality or for starter kits, like the Lionel 16sb. In my opinion Lionel should try and make some more Alcos other than just the RS types in lioncheif. It'd look good to have a c-630 on a layout with a gp9, after all those where some of the RDG's favorite Diesels other than the RS and Fs. So yeah, I'd hope to see an Alco HH660 on the catalog as well.

If there's a market for it, Lionel will probably consider it. Really nice switchers seem to be in rather short supply.
When is the new catalog coming out?
Hey Lionel, how about a fix for my Mogul. Would love to see that in 2018
2012ford posted:When is the new catalog coming out?
Per Dave Olson, the target date was Tuesday the 23rd to go live(online) catalog, he was not entirely sure when the hard copy would be out. I would say keep tabs on FB or their website around that date.

You need to talk to the guy who posted the " Lionel Mogul Issues" thread :
"You all will have to be patient on this. Lionel is on the ball, and frankly you do not know what and how Lionel is going about this but it will take time."

The Mogul problems were probably the the same reason the Cabbages were so bad. After talking to Dave Olson a bit, the reason the Cabbages and F40PHs were riddled with problems was because they were made by a new factory. That factory got a very stern talking to and will not be used again.
Scale length British Rail MK1 cars or perhaps re-use the Lima tooling, If it still exists
Dean 0-6-0 goods engine.
i’m not interested in buying one myself, but I continue to be amazed that Lionel hasn’t produced their E-33 electric in the Milwaukee Road’s Orange and Black freight scheme.
Legacy GP-7s and/or GP-9s in B&M’s and Maine Central’s “patriot” paint scheme.
