I use lids off spray cans. I've also been known to use cut down Styrofoam cups. A little hot glue and you have an excellent baffle.

Thanks John and George!
also another question.
do you have the digikey part numbers for the ps2 optic sensor on the motor, believe i have a bad one and I'm sure the sensor is cheaper then the whole optic board.
Also do either one of you have an old 10 pin steam engine harness i have a melted one from another challenger steam engine. both the red and black power wires melted inside the molded connector pins are melted and i seriously doubt it can be repaired. other wise ill have to order the steam engine harness assembly.

John, I have used PVC pipe hot glued to the speaker. Looks nasty but the sound will make you happy. The spray can cover is a great idea.
Great IDEA Marty ill check into PVC , do you remember what size PVC you used, i need it for the standard bf0000034 4ohm speaker in my steam engines big boys and challenger!

Good idea on the PVC pipe, didn't think of that. Cheap and I have a bunch of the 2" schedule 20 thin stuff from a central vacuum installation.
PVC is what Williams used years ago. Along with carboard tube if you want to go that route. G
