After all the discussion in this thread, I found this today at the Fort McCoy Wisconsin Equipment Park in their Commemorative Area. Maybe the Menard's "Tank Car" is closer to reality than even they thought.

I have driven by Fort McCoy hundreds of times, but never guessed any of this kind of thing was displayed there. I will have to make a point of stopping there. Thanks for tip.

PS: For those traveling by rail, The Empire Builder passes Fort McCoy to the south.
