While we live in Connecticut now, my wife and I are from NYC and spent the long weekend there with our children. NYC is a magical place this time of year, especially for children, so I highly recommend it. Going to post some photo highlights from the weekend. In particular, I am going to post several of the Herald Square Macy’s Santaland Lionel train layout and the MTA Museum Lionel train layout. Regarding the MTA layout, I saw a recent article about it and saw some on-line photos on the MTA site, but frankly, none do it justice. Hope I’m not posting too many photos of it for your taste, but it is pretty cool. If anyone associated with either of these two Lionel displays is reading this, would really appreciate you posting, letting me know where the detailed (shorter) brick buildings came from. They are just what the doctor ordered for our home layout’s city sector. Enjoy …
That's my son in green, soaking in the Macy's trains diaplay.
Some of these buildings would be perfect for our city - anyone know manufacturer or where to get them? Believe the theatre is from AmeriTowne, but can't place the rest.
Macy's - not only does it have a small layout, but it also has several circles of track around the tress, each with O gauge tains cruising around it!
Where can I find these buildings!!??
