Hooking up wifi

You need to provide a detailed step-by-step description of exactly what you’re doing and exactly what happens.

All the cables are hooked correctly on the wifi module. I then Downloaded the wifi app on my iPad. When I plugged in the module and after a minute or so all three lights of pwr,  wifi and TIU light up. I flipped the switch to MTH.

i then went to settings/ wifi and used wifidcswifi but I get a msg that he can't find it.  Anything else I need to do? When I tap run my trains I get nothing.,

Make sure your WiFi unit is set to MTH before applying power. Then on your iPad look for the MTH WiFi and connect to that. THEN AFTER DOING THAT open the program and see what happens. Like Barry said Step by Step instructions on what you are doing helps tremendously.

After powering everything up make sure you connect to the MTH network on your IPAD before opening the MTH program.

Thanks everybody, I was doing it wrong but once I realized what I was doing wrong it all fell into place. 

Im now just adding all my engines onto my iPad.

Barry, got a question, purchased a new TIU and WI-FI unit, however the wireless light never comes on in either MTH or HOME network mode. Do you think I havw a bad WI-FI module?? I also have a WI-FI explorer that works perfect as it should.

all cables are hooked correctly and the TIU Works perfect.

The WI-FI Modual goes thru it’s normal test mode on power up ,power, lan , Wi-Fi, + TIU active.

and wps blinks until test completed, but Wi-Fi never comes up.

any suggestions ?
