Looks like a pretty nice starter set for any child that still plays with toys and isn't totally consumed by electronics and their smart phone.  Colorful graphics without being garish, two HotWheels cars give additional play value, remote control.  With a few additions I could see it expanded to bring the "Hot Wheels Thrill Show" to town just like the circus train.

As a kid I was a tester for Hot Wheels before the public ever saw them. I own more Hot Wheels than I care to admit. But I'm gonna pass on this one. Good for Lionel to do something different.

Tell someone to include Detroit in the first run Beachbomb city listings. I hated the later wheel well slots. The first I recall* of about 1000 VW toys, give or take a few hundred. (1000 items easy)

It didn't survive. Way too fast to leave in a box

*....nah, I had some slow Matchbox first.

Just some thougts before I let that video load. YT can take an hour to load a two minute video around here. Not device or ISP related, slow speed, but not that slow ... I can only guess it relates to proximity of a nearby Google office.

I've seen much worse RTR concepts. This hits two collecting genere and doesn't loose real kid play value while doing it.

Being only on par with the pink train's original popularity?  It's no Cadillac. More like a Chevy II . But definitely not an Edsel; in inovations nor style. As long as the price isn't jacked up out of proportion, I don't see dust collecting on the majority of boxes, nor repainting them to recoup costs

Two cars is almost not a set to me though. I thought three car sets were bad enough. A tune up garage box car? ( Worked for me setting up a small hotrod train anyhow )

The uncoupler omission is a missed opportunity to showcase a feature kids love to use. I think Lionel missed the self promotion boat here. The kids that play with mechanicals, often enjoy all mechanicals imo. Especially if no hands involved is an option.

The crossing request is not an awful idea, but I admit: I was hoping for a simple hotwheel ramp to ramp crossing over the track too .  It's kind of shame they didn't make the effort for a quick closing shot.

A new crossing utiilizing both crossing and ramp stlyes that accepts both brands tracks would be a childhood dream come true. I now it isn't an original idea; I'm willing to bet its quiet common. Which makes its absence for 50+yrs that much more of a mystery to me. (scale shmale, kids play cars & trains together....with sis's dolls if imediate passengers are needed )

The jump omission wasn't surprising though. Nice camera work and very clear in enunciation, but I too found the video to be so "corporately boring" and... slow... that... it... was...  hard... to.... bare.    Only the subject matter and lack a personally done search, kept me watching past the reveal.  If I had other search results a page back,   I...  would...  have....  hit...  the... arrow... fast.

Chuck's retro "Thrill Circus" and the "Extreme" stunt popularity of todays youth would have been a smarter play for a shot at any fad popularity.

It really just needs those orange ramps. If I hit the powerball I might actually pick it up; but won't be chasing it either way.

I was at CVS yesterday, and I noticed some car models for $5.99.  They look to be 1/43, but I know that there are modelers who don't mind that scale.

There are some new cars, but of interest to me where some old pre-war classic cars.  For the price I thought that they looked pretty good.

If you like it and it looks good, buy it. If anyone says that it out of scale tell then to move back 5 or 10 ft and take there glasses off. For me the scale is close enough

Here's another one. Sounds like Dave from Lionel narrating.. This set is not for me, but seems like it would be a hit with Hot Wheels fans.

Looked like Mega tracks in the center of the loop. But upon closer look it appears to be some type of Hot Wheels set up? I wonder if they're going to sell that too?

The stuff in the middle looks like Mattel track and accessories for Hot Wheels.
