We are going this year starting on Tuesday. We still like what's left of the Hotel shows.
We always find something to buy there.
Thursday and Friday is the TCA show,
then home Saturday and wait till April next year.

I missed early registration (grrrr.....) but I'm thinking of driving up on Friday assuming my schedule doesn't change unexpectedly.
I'll be there Thursday and Friday, going back Friday night. I didn't find much on Saturday, they were rolling up the sidewalks pretty early in the day last time.
This will be York number 69 for me. Dotty and I are taking Amtrak from my town (Dedham RT 128 station) to Lancaster. We will pick up our rental car and head to York. Returning Saturday afternoon. Over the years I have gone to York using the following. I have driven to York many times. I have taken the Acela to BWI station. The ride from there to York can be tough. I have taken the Acela to Philadelphia and rental car to York. The year I broke all my Lumbar bones I flew to Harrisburg all wrapped up. I have flown to BWI many times. Again the ride is not fun to York. I have taken Amtrak to Baltimore then a rental car.
My good friends Chris Lonero and Jim Queenan have been using what I plan this trip and they both state it is the way to go.
I was able to combine York with a Philadelphia-NY business trip! This will be my first York, and am able to attend Friday and Saturday. I needed to join TCA (something I should have done years ago) and then order my Badge. Along the entire process, I recieved great service from both TCA and the Eastern Division.
Dave, nice when you can combine York with a business trip. You will have a wonderful time as this is the finest train meet known to mankind. Look forward to seeing you there.
I'll be there.........looking forward to seeing everyone....
1st York was in April, 1983......I am fortunate to have only missed twice since then.

I didn't realize all the action was on the weekdays, that complicates things for me. I just started a new job that's Mon-Fri, and I'm not sure I'll have access to paid vacation that soon.

Being Past TCA President and living 12 miles from the Fairgrounds I will certainly be there all week. I also have a table in the Silver Hall row F right behind the TCA store on the right as you come in. Drop by and say hello. I will be at a few meetings, etc and my train nut wife will be having table duty when I am away.
