Always look forward to York! Ill' be looking for parts and restorable items for resale

at Greenberg and other shows. I have always loved walking through the halls and grounds.

It's a nice getaway, and Ill' continue to do so. Not bailing out of the TCA anytime soon. in

fact, planning to attend my first convention next year in Somerset, N.J. just blocks from

my home! How convenient is that!

Well we decided to bite the bullet. Airfare went down to $370 a person....but oh no, we had to waffle around and figure out what to do. Ended up paying $504 a person today .... not happy about that but oh well. Ya only live once, and I've never seen a hearse pulling a trailer cuz ya can't take it with ya! See ya all next month!

Not going.  I have been there twice a year, but now I just have too much stuff and there is no more room on my layout for more.  I do believe that I will attend the Greenberg show when it comes to my area, not for any stuff, but for the seminars and/or train displays.  I have never attended that show but was informed that there are more educational and informative things there.  At this phase, I am more interested in the "how-to's" rather than "how much" aspects of this hobby.

Idea: Maybe OGR should pass out "I'm on OGR Forum" stickers for folks to wear. It would be great advertising and a neat way to stir up conversations. I am a great fan of forum and have learned a lot from the sharing on all subjects. I am the tech for our local module group and over many years have experienced just about every glitch you can imagine with both DCs and Lionel systems. Forum is my go to place for the latest helpful hints with both systems. Its great to be a part of this great group.

"Usually, from 10:30 on, many of us informally congregate outside the Orange Hall...and inside the hall most of the time on the north side of the concession booth.

I would be up for an informal Meet-N-Greet before the opening....

Peter"

WE will look forward to seeing you there at the above time.

This will be my 10th York and my wife's 7th.  I brought her right after she retired from teaching, she hasn't missed one since.  She loves the atmosphere.  We go visiting the countryside on Tuesday and Wednesday; then stay at the meet till Saturday.  She attended two Thursdays at Fridays.  We hope to attend the new watering hole this Oct.

She talKed me into picking up an MTH Tinplate Firehouse and Pumper.  We are looking forward to visiting with our train friends and the pumpkin funnel cake house. ;-)

I have been fortunate to have made over 70 trips to York and still look forward to the new experiences along with lots of memories. I plan on making the trip this time and plan to be in the RED HALL near the exit towards SILVER HALL/BLUE HALL. I will have 21" K Line Superliner cars(7) and engine and 227 semi-scale and many other FUN TOYS. Look forward to it.  Bob

Eddie, I plan to be with Don Hager. I do not know the number but it is near the door that you would go out towards the Blue or Silver Halls. On the left side near the end where the announcement table is except way to the left near the first aisle. Don has been there many years and has 700'E -t rail and parts, etc for pre-war Lionel. Hope to see you there. My picture is shown.
