I purchased an excellent prewar 226E at York.

the tender has a box coupler, high mounted.

I purchased a small metal "link" that is designed to couple the prewar and postwar couplers together.

However, either I can't figure out how to make it work, or it is designed to couple a low mounted box coupler with a postwar coupler.

Can anyone help me with the high coupler and connecting it to a postwar coupler?

I was searching for a alternative way to couple a postwar to prewar , I used a original prewar coupler bent it and used a  MPC plastic coupler with what was in my parts bin I think a O gauge track  bar.

I  used my dermal tool and  made it lock in  ..   I needed to add the extra bar underneath because it wanted to turn when you first pulled out..So far no problems and not too bad looking....danieIMG_2552IMG_2553IMG_2554IMG_2555
