when I perform a keyword search, the results appear random to me. what is the default method for ordering results? Is there a way to sort by post creation date, or last modified date?
there's usually a layout photos thread over the weekend and I was looking for the most recent. couldn't find it

Hi Garrett, if you use the advance search, at the bottom of the page it gives you a choice of revlance or date.
I have been frustrated with the same problem for quite some time. I finally "searched " to find out how to make "search" behave. Mike's method works, but can't someone just make the default method "by date" or the choice for that right there next to ordinary "search"?

Just because you prefer a search by date doesn’t mean that everyone does. That’s why you have a choice of how you want to display search results.
I think we agree Rich.
What I am saying is that a normal search does not give you that choice. The choice is hidden under advanced search which is not what most people choose as first search choice. I am simply asking if the choice can be added next to a normal everyday search.

If you add all the options to the Regular search, it becomes the Advanced search! 
Seems like it is just as easy to click on advanced as it is to click on search.
OK. You guys knew it was there. Now I do too. Not the biggest concern in the world. Just thought the suggestion might help those who didn't know it was there. I'll stop.
