How to spot an original 2373 Canadian Pacific locomotive?

Hi all,

I’ve been starting my search for an original set of AA 2373 CP locos to go with the passenger car set. I’ve learned a few things so far online and in Greenberg book. Specifically are there any markings on the chassis? I saw one recently that was stamped 2243-38 on the chassis. Were these used for multiple locos or is that a clear indication it’s not original? Any other tips? Thanks I’m advance.
