When looking over the various post on this forum, such as Weekend Photo's or the current "Let's see pictures of your layout" thread, I find myself trying to recognize the author by his/her layout. That is, I usually know if the post is Patrick H. or Marty Fitzhenry or Leaving Tracks etc. from the style or "signature" style of the layout. Anyone else do this? I deliberately avoid looking at the avatar. As if I know you guys!!!!!

In many cases, and having been around here for a long time, I have no problem recognizing someone's layout or other photos from his or her "distinctive style." Often enough, I really don't need to see the avatar or other feature to know whose photos they are.
Everyone has a distinctive style, but there may be more that one layout with any particular distinctive style. Jim Policastro is an example: I've visited layouts where it is obvious the owner or club has studied and is copying his examples, so in photos of just a single section or project, the layout would look almost exactly like his style.
