The icon picture on my desktop is distorted. It's a shortcut to the OGauge Forum website. Operating System Windows 7. Chrome Browser. It was fine up until today. What happened? How do I correct? Thanking you in advance...

It's just Windows acting up, try to reboot your system and run a disk check and virus scan.
Your video card could be dying and the vram is scrambled.
Correct problems with Windows by getting a MacOS computer or MacBook laptop, no more Windows problems.
You may have accidentally resized your desktop icons - some don't resize well.
Not hard to do by mistake with some laptops via accidental touch on the touchpad
I hve a Mac Book Pro laptop, love it! No problems at all.

Funny how that works. The thing most people don't realize is how much of a ripoff most if not all Apple devices really are. You pay for the brand name.
Could you please describe the problem a bit more? What exactly do you mean by distorted?

Create a favorite or bookmark in the browser instead of creating a desktop shortcut. Then, launch the browser and select a place to go from the favorites.
Option#2 - Delete the desktop shortcut and create a new one the same way that you did this one. This not the best or most secure practice.
Why didn't you upgrade to Win 10 when it was offered for free? Surfing the net with Win 7 is asking for trouble.
If you accidentally resized your icons - you can change them back by holding down the "Ctrl" key and moving the scroll wheel on your mouse. Down makes the icons smaller - up makes icons bigger. It's easy to this by mistake...so give it a try.
