Yep, the Menards multiple boxcar purchase is the best bang for your buck in the electric train hobby.

It’s interesting that even though Menards is a Midwest only regional chain some of the cars they are selling are lettered for railroads which did not operate in their regional area (a few examples: Susquehanna, Reading & MEC).

Jim does not own stock in Menards, knowing Jim he probably does owns the company out right however.

I think Menards is privately owned by the Menards family. The Menards Patriarch is listed as the richest man in Wisconsin.
