In the past, I have complained on several upcoming catalog threads about the lack of road-specific lighting packages on MTH and other end-cab switchers. I now stand (partially) corrected. I visited my LHS recently, and discovered that, at least on the latest MP15AC version (PS3), MTH has installed an SP-style light package on the switchers. On the real SP MP15ACs, the engineer-side lights on the long hood are MARS lights; on MTH's model, that is not the case.
My question is thus: Does the MP15's board have an extra output that one could wire an aftermarket MARS light emulator board to, and if so, how difficult would that upgrade be? My end goal is to be able to have a MARS light that I can turn on independent of the headlights, perhaps using the Marker Light command on the DCS remote.
