I was given a motor from the bigger, later Zephyr with the mechanical/electrical reverse unit. The wheels are swollen, and the idler gear is too, with a missing tooth. The idler gear has a brass insert that goes through it, that appears to be peened over to attach the cog that  catches the dog that moves the lever that moves the electrical switch that reverses the motor- if all was in perfect adjustment! There was a post here IMG_1434about this style motor about 5 years ago. Photo of this gear as well as standard idler is shown.

Does anyone know if aftermarket idlers were ever made for these motors?  I have been working up nerve to try and disassemble the gear assembly as a last ditch move.I suppose I could just remove the reverse mechanism levers, use a regular 60T idler gear and put an electronic reverse on, but that kind of goes against the grain.

     Any suggestions would be welcome!
