I'm unable to change my chuff rate

PS2 3V RTR 2-8-0 with Chessie passenger sounds loaded. I have read the manual and the companion. Select a chuff rate, from the chuff rate menu and the rate is supposed to change. I am stuck at 4. Prototypical yes, but I want 2.... Is this a sound file limitation, or am I doing something wrong?

If it is sound file related Waaahhh. N scale sound boards are better!

Marty,

A few questions:

Did you have power on to the engine when you set the chuff rate?
After selecting a chuff rate, did you press the thumbwheel to lock it in, or did you just exit the chuff rate screen by pressing Menu, Engine, etc.?
Did you turn off power to the engine between setting the chuff rate and starting the engine moving?

The correct answers would be "yes", "yes" and "no".

Barry, my good man, my answers were yes, no, no. Changing them to yes,yes,no worked. Not surprisingly, page 34 of the companion MUST have been secretly updated some time between 2PM and 6PM EST, otherwise, I would have seen that thumb wheel bit, before posting
