Is the MTH TIU to Lionel TMCC interface cable the same as the TIU to Legacy cable?

I think there are a total of three cables that were available at different times. The latest one that states Legacy works for either the TMCC command base or the Legacy command base. If you're buying, that's the one to get.

No, it is not. For Legacy you need #50-1032 TIU/TMCC-Legacy 6' Connector Cable at this link:
