Since privacy may be/can be a concern...Google allows Chrome users to opt out of tracking just as Firefox users can (below).  Best to try the two browsers (Chrome - Firefox) and choose the best for your personal circumstance.

All of these features (except "Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports" and "Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic") are enabled by default. You can always choose to disable them in the Privacy settings by clicking the Chrome menu Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings > Privacy.
