iPad Discovery

You need Javascript for OGR to fully function. Its NOT Javascript that is the security threat, its Java. There is a difference.

I remember I had a number of strange problems with my iPad a year or so ago which included having to do a double click to open threads and the problem was that I was using an older OS. Once I upgraded the OS it worked fine.

Pete, I did not realize that Java and JavaScript are two different things.  What is the difference?

 

Neil, my iPad only required one click to open a thread prior to installing the latest OS.  The two-click required showed up with the latest iPad operating system.

When I had my problem I posted here on the forum and Rich said he didn't know why as well. I then emailed Hoopla.com and had a series of very nice emails with a lady who I can't remember her name now and she highlighted my need to upgrade my OS which was the solution. Perhaps if you email them as well they can have some in depth dialogue with you and see if they can replicate the problem as they did with me.

Interestingly enough I only require 1 click on iPhone 5 , however I require 2 clicks on my iPad. iPhone and iPad both have most recent IOS, iPhone is 3 weeks old and iPad is newest version 4. Strange!
