I have to work just north of York in the morning. the earliest I could be to the fairgrounds is noon. how long due to the manufacturers displays stay up? i 'd really like to see the mth display.

I dont think that would be worth it.... you're paying $20 for "2 hours" but by noon on saturday, the place will be pretty much cleared out, sans the required one item on the table.
But will Mike Wolf still be there?
I think it is worth it. Before I retired, I could attend only on Saturday. I would quickly go through the member halls first, looking for Atlas and Weaver boxes. Those were easy to spot in the sea of Lionel and K-Line normally in those halls.
I would then go to the dealer halls where the displays would stay up until close to closing. The big boys didn't take their stuff down until after closing. Many times, because I rarely found anything I wanted in the member halls, I just stayed in the dealer halls. That was worth the ticket price to me.
I used to love to go on Saturday you can buzz through the place in a few hours how ever most dealers start to pack up around noon so it might not be worth it.

Several Dealers were packing up at 11:00 the one time I went on a Saturday, Heck one was packing up today.
If your main focus is to see the MTH display, arriving at noon will be fine.
