I have a MTH Z 750 controller that no longer controls the output. The output is a full 24 volts no matter where the throttle is (anywhere from OFF to Full Power).
Any ideas what is causing the failure and is it repairable?
Typically, this is the triac (or triacs) that control the voltage. It's repairable, the question is how much is the repair shop going to charge for replacing the part(s).

Thank for your posts regarding electronic repairs. I might work up the courage to try some of this stuff.
Based on a quick search, it looks like triacs are inexpensive, but the options are immense. Is there a schematic available which shows the specs for that part in an MTH transformer?
I don't remember the triac that's in that one, but it's been discussed here before. Best option is to open it up and get the actual part # off the triac. Since I don't have a Z750 here, I can't do that.
