My MTH RK Big Boy needs a sine wave controller to have the Protosounds function correctly. Does anyone have the AC100 from MRC, and does it qualify as Pure Sine Wave? Further, anyone with reviews, I'd appreciate it. Thank You!
I may be wrong--- as far as I know, the only sine wave AC unit that MRC sells is the Pure Power one. All the others from the Trainpower O27 to the present units are chopped sine wave.
The AC100 manual doesn't say anything one way or the other about 'Pure Sine Wave'. The add for the AC100 on the Trainz web page says it's compatible with Lionel and MTH electronic sound locos. You could contact MRC directly:
