Rumor has it that if you utilize a Powermaster or TPC with your layout that you can use a TMCC Cab1 or Legacy Cab2 to activate the whistle in the tender of an AC Gilbert 314AW Pacific steam engine. I have TPCs and Legacy, but I do not have a 314AW. Would someone who does please try this and let us know if it really works? Thanks. Maybe if true, I'll buy a 314AW, or at least have all the more reason to begin the hunt for one. I've repaired 314AWs and the whistle when working properly is a fun and nostalgic feature.
