Time for me to finalize all pieces in my layout, so I'm going to have to send several pieces of very used Lionel O gauge track down the road.  (8 pieces for 7 bucks, so it was great for just planning and sizing.)

The Menards looks very good, and a great price, but I understand that there were some initial problems with it.  Are those issues resolved now?  Especially those relating to difficulty in getting the pins and tracks firmly crimped together?

Thanks,

Mannyrock

It has been just fine for several years now.  This gets asked over and over.  You can do a search for the subject and find numerous threads.

Order a couple of pieces and see what you think.  There must be some old stock floating around that keeps getting returned, but the new stuff seems pretty good. They have a nice selection of diameters and you can’t beat the price if you buy a case.

Those who are waiting for switches are probably going to be waiting a long time, unless they get ahold of someone else’s tooling.  The complexity of the switch, like a loco will require a service dept which would be a big step.  If I was dreaming though
