I’ve used the app for years now but it seems like it keeps getting more glitchy by the day and obviously they will probably not be updating it anytime soon either. Most I can deal with but the super annoying one is the engine will make uncommanded acceleration and the only way to stop it is to exit the app and re open it. It doesn’t seem like a connectivity issue since I can still use other features of the engine, just can’t slow it down and it says the track connection quality is 10 and track is clean as well. Seems to be an app issue but maybe someone knows a fix?

Without a product number it will be hard to help.
One question though: Does it accelerate excessively if you control it with a DCS remote?

Nope, just with the app
Are you using the app on an Android or an Apple product?
Any chance that you could be touching the 120 mph spot rather than the speed increase arrow? I have done that before I limited the speed setting to 60.

I've experienced a stuck (continuously firing) touch screen button area on an iPad. Rebooting the device worked.
Unless the app has been updated (it hasn't), or you recently updated the device (possible), nothing has changed with the software, It won't just "develop" a problem that isn't baked in, and there hasn't been an issue baked in that has been reported like this generally.
Thank you for the replies, it’s on an IPhone. Since this happens, I do set a speed limit to 40 and what’s weird is if I click the decrease button or grab the needle and move it down, the second I let go it shoots back up to whatever the max speed limit is set at.
I'm on an iPhone too and have not dealt with your particular problem.....yet. If your phone had a recent upgrade, then I think some people have had problems after that. I also think most of the time the problem was resolved by deleting and adding back in the app.

I would delete the app and try to download it again maybe it somehow has gotten corrupted! also could try updating the app before you delete it!

I have tried redownloading it, I may add another jumper wire to the track and see if that helps
I'd use the remote.
Sometimes apps are not compatible with system updates on your device’s operating system. I’ve found that older apps lose functionality after I update my devices.
