IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY 2/20/18 Edition!!! Share your team track photos here!
Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroading operations. A team track is an undesignated siding that functions as an on/off loading track for practically every kind of freight car, some passenger head end cars, and MOW equipment. Team tracks are found in remote rural locations, small towns and large cities.
Today on the Free State Junction Railway's team track number 3 located in the Brewtown section of Patsburg, we see a Milwaulkie Road boxcar load of pumps. These pumps are destined for the city water treatment plant.
Let's see what's happening on your railroad's team track ( s )! Remember if you have a layout with an undesignated siding/spur you more than likely have the makings of a team track. The purpose of this thread is to have fun and inspire one another ... so if you have a simple loop of tin plate track with an undesignated siding or an elaborately detailed museum quality layout feel free to post your photos! Photos of real railroad team track operations are most welcome too!
Have a wonderfully fun and creative week! See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!
