The Greenberg Guide to Ives trains doesn't indicate there were any changes in the type of wheels for this engine during its entire production run.
Variations
1919-1920 0-4-0, black painted body and cast-iron frame painted red; one headlight, nickel bell; silver rubber-stamped lettering 'THE IVES/RAILWAY/LINES" to the left of the side door and "MOTOR/3253" to the right.
1921-1925; 0-4-0, painted steel body, black cast-iron frame; rubber-stamped lettering "THE IVES/RAILWAY/LINES" to the left of the side door and "3253/N.Y.C.&H.R." to the right. Based on the catalog illustrations the colors for the steel body could be green (1922), light brown (1923),orange(1924), and green(1925). The guide merely lists the color as "green" without any additional details. Based on what I have seen at the various train meets I think the green is actually the olive green of your engine.
