Then, go ahead and drive all around to a bunch of hobby shops looking for that issue. You will most likely spend more than $12.50 after you factor in the cost gas. Allan was just offering you a suggestion on how to get what you are looking for. Delivery isn't free!  Unless you can walk or ride a bike to a store.

M.E.C. Mike....you really think $12.50 is fair and not price gouging....really?????????????? I bet I can find this issue at York for $1.00. Are you related to Alan?

TrainHead,

I was just making a observation on how the price of gas affects delivery costs.  Businesses like OGR set prices to make profit.  The consumer then decides if the price is fair or too high?   It seems that you think the price is too high.  If other consumers also feel that the price is too high, then maybe OGR will have to lower the price to move product.  But I suspect that back issues are in small limited quanities and won't warrant a price drop.  Some other magazine companies charge above cover price for older limited back issues.   If you are planning on going to York, your idea to get the back issue there sounds like smart move.

The OGR magazine supports all of their ancillary activities including this Forum that allows you to "freely" express your opinion. The cost quoted by Allan is reasonable and I agree, he was just trying to help you out.

I am proud to be a subscriber of this fine magazine and I never have to worry about chasing for a copy. You might consider saying thank you and also consider a subscription.
