Running two JC Penney special sets today. The c. 1928 Wide Gauge Empire Express set with 4753 engine, Knickerbocker coach, and Henry Hudson observation and the c. 1929 Nation Wide Lines 3113 with 80 baggage car, 81 coach, and 81 observation.

Which one will win the race?

Actually, they appeared to be running at about the same speed, with the blue set lapping the red set, only because it has a shorter loop of track.

I get that they were trying to be competitive or whatever, but I always liked that Flyer did a full baggage/RPO car for awhile. Slightly sad when they switched to the combine car in place of.

That Blue baggage car is awesome looking.
