Here is a short video of our layout. A customer of ours shot this in 2009. I didn't know it at the time. He was from Pittsburgh and he called me once he got home and told me about it.

This is great to see Jimmy! Was this when the store was open or is this recent?
That's a great looking layout, Jim! I'm so sorry that by the time I learned of your store, you had closed. Thank you for posting the video!!
David Slie,
This was taken on a Sunday when we were still open. I no longer own a piece of track. We sold everything.
Wow, that is awesome--I'll bet you are glad to have that video! I would have loved to have visited your store.
You had a great store. It was always a joy buying trains from you.
Jim,
Nice memories!
A couple of weeks ago my wife and I were driving Rt 286 to Indiana to visit the Jimmy Stewart Museum. My car tried really, really hard to turn down that country lane to get to your shop! Good memories, great stuff!
Happy New Year to you and Peggy.
Norm
Wonderful video of your fantastic layout!! Thanks so much for posting Jim
Mark Boyce, I wish we had of met sooner than we did, Tuscan Jim, I would of loved to have you as a customer. DMASSO, Thank you for your kind words, Norm, I always enjoyed seeing you and talking to you.
Miss you Sir!!!
Pleasure doing business with you back then. My budget didn't match my desires (or yours?)
I only managed to visit Jim's shop one time, and that was in 1990 when his Homer City establishment was part of a tour with the NMRA's National Convention in Pittsburgh. However, in later years I managed to spend more than a few $$$ on MTH trains purchased from Jim. He pretty much set the standard for customer service back when he was in business.
Thanks for posting a great reminder of a great store. You always seemed to have stuff that I NEEDED.
Great video. I sure do miss your store! You were one of a kind with customer service!

Definitely miss shopping on the phone with you. There wasn’t a time when a call to you for one item didn’t end with me buying the item I called for plus at least one more thing that you’d know would go with what I called for!
Thank you, Jimmy, for those good times!
Never visited the shop in person but, I have a number of items I bought from Jim back in the day. I would typically send him my order when I arrived in my office about 6AM Eastern time and generally no longer than five minutes later, Jim would call me to suggest several items I should add to my order. 🤣
Jim was a born salesman!
Curt
Outstanding

That doesn't surprise me at all.
Nice! Sure do miss your shop, Jim. You always had a way of showing me things I never knew I wanted.
Andy
trumptrain, Thank you for your kind words. I sure do appreciate it.
Engineer-Joe, You were a wonderful customer. My wife and I appreciated all of you business.
Allan Miller, You too were a great customer and friend.
Bob Bartizek, You purchased quite a few of my custom run Weaver cars. I believe you got one of each number of the Altoona Beer cars.
Greg Houser, Thank you for all your business. It sure was fun.
Jim M. Sr. That makes two of us. I miss talking to you and taking your orders.
Juniata Gay, My wife use to tell me, you order all this, so you better sell it.
Tuscan Jim, Thank you for your kind words.
Andy Hummell, So many people have told me how they miss our store. It was a lot of work but I never mind it. I was very lucky. I had a job that I loved.
So many wonderful times and memories.
Really nice Jim, sorry I was not able to meet you and see your store. My shop was only 1200' and we had mostly RC aircraft and cars with a large racetrack out back on the highway. Only had room for a 4 x 6 layout in the front window. But we had two walls of rains!
Jim's train shop was a true diamond in the ruff. I miss those 12 midnight calls from Jim when he read a post I made on the forum over whatever product I was talking asking about.
c.sam, I too am sorry we never met. I would of enjoyed that.
superwarp1, I remember that phone call. Gary, didn't you buy a Boston Albany Hudson from me.
I’m a little miffed I never found the time to sashay out to Homer City, and meet you and Peggy in person, Jim.
My first purchase from Jim was with an email. He went to the trouble to find my New Jersey phone number, and called to scold me about putting my credit card number in an email.
I go out of my way to buy my trains from nice people. Still do it today. Jim's was one of those places. I wish I could spend a little time at trout stream with him.
Jim
Here are photos of the one trip we were able to go to Jimmy's store in person. Beautiful fall weather in the mountains of PA.
And Jim himself..with some of the cars I bought that day, plus an Atlas passenger depot..hard to believe that was over 20 years ago!
Still miss Jim's Train Shop.

Great pics!
Mark V. Spadaro, We maybe closed and retired but you would still be welcomed.
EBT I haven't fished a trout stream for almost forty years. All of my fishing is done at two Sportsmen club lakes. One of them is three miles south on route 119 and the other one is seven miles south on route 119.
Ed Mullan Those are some beautiful pictures.
Tuscan Jim, you are right]. The pictures taken by Ed Mullan were great.
My first memory was when you placed AF ad in Brookville Pa news paper and I called and ask if you had certain AF engine and your reply was yes come on over I have complete wall full. My son was with me he is 50 years old now. I visited store many times and could not have been treated better. You also in 2002 helped me and other volunteer establish at the Jefferson County History Center Brookville PA ,trains track ,scenery which is still being displayed today .Great video, Happy New Year Jim
Charles Richards, Thank you for your kind remarks. I always enjoyed your visits. So many good memories.
You had a fine store there Jim. I was fortunate to stop there one time while on a motorcycle trip. No room for trains then but did manage to order a few items when I returned home. Glad you are here but know your store is sorely missed.
Pete
Jim, sure do miss talking with you! The “One Stop Shop” for sure. Top notch friend to have to say the least. You made buying trains seem so effortless, just one more! Loved it. Still do via all those awesome memories. Great post Jim!

Bummer! That's a shame. Not even a little circle?
Norton, So glad that you were able to stop and thank you for your phone order.
Jeff78rr. Thank you for all your business over the years. Yes, always enjoyed talking to you.
prrhorseshoecurve, We knew, when we retired at the end of 2010, I would be having my left knee replaced in April of 2011 and my right knee in April 2012. My days of climbing under or on my train board were done.
One of the best in the train business. Jim got me started and thousands of dollars later. He always took care of the customer. Happy NewcYear Jim.

Great video, Jim......beautiful layout.
Thank you for all the great service you provided while the store was open!

Yes I did, still have it. Had to exchange it as the first one I got was damaged in shipping. Awesome service Jim. Thanks again.
From the video, I take it I'm not supposed to run my trains at 65 to 75 smph? Of course, I'd really like to run my trains at a speed where they become quantum wave patterns.
I remember once when I called Jim from a job site in Houston Texas. We were in the middle of a NBA game broadcast. I didn’t get though. About 10 minutes later the phone rings and I pick it up and it’s Jim returning my call. I think at the time I was ordering a MTH Yellow Belly Hudson.
George Steiner introduced me to Jimmy. I think I probably bought a few biscuits for Molly and kept the lights on for a few nights.
Nice to see Jim. I really enjoyed doing business with you; you were quite the salesman. I have many items from you that I didn't even know that I needed. Be well, stay safe. Happy New Year.
Choo Choo Bob Thank you for your kind words and all of your business.
Putnam Division. Glad you enjoyed the video of our layout. You business was greatly appreciated.
A Wells, You can run your trains at any speed you want.
Superwarp1 You were a wonderful customer. My wife and I appreciated everything you bought.
Marty E You made many trips from your home to Homer city. You definitely help keep biscuits in Molly's dish.
Trainman52 Thank you for all of your business.
