A clear picture would be useful, but I believe those are the JST-XH connectors.

JST-XH Data Sheet.PDF

I don't think 3rd Rail would have these, they're used in Williams locomotives.

Photo tip, just hold the camera farther away, you can always enlarge the item, but if it's out of focus, it will just be big and out of focus if you're too close.

Knowing the connector family is only part of the problem.

I don't know if the JST connector is the one, but note that the ~10 cent housing is just the housing.  You still need to buy the ~10 cent crimp pins and supply the wire.  In most cases you can "get by" with a needle-nose plier to crimp the wire to the pin and then insert into the housing.  Otherwise the magic crimp tool can set you back $50, $100, or whatever.

Or, DigiKey might sell pre-crimped wires (in assorted lengths) though note price for a 2" wire with a crimp pin installed!

As boilermaker1 points out, WS sells various connector/wiring/splicing kits and even spools of wire.  It's left to the student to do-the-math to decide your own solution to the question of: does time=money?

Not nearly that expensive Stan, $18 with free delivery.  Once you have the tool, you open up a lot of possibilities for neater wiring for a host of projects.  Also, the shells and the pins a a lot less expensive in any kind of quantity.  If you're only doing one thing and don't intend to expand beyond it, that's one thing.  If you would like the capability to use crimp connectors for other projects, buying the parts makes a lot more sense.

I have no need for Just Plug connections, but I already have the connectors, the tool, and the contacts.   I actually have several similar crimp tools, I bought the IWISS model just to see if it was up to the task.  It actually has the really small die for the 1mm connectors, so it was a worthwhile purchase.

Did you get the contacts as well?

As far as I know. Will find out tomorrow when they get here. They come with a pigtail so I assumed they were complete.

Do we have confirmation that the JST-XHP connector is indeed correct for the WS light hub?   If so, can you share your source - apparently cheaper than Digikey?

But I believe the matter at hand is to determine what connector mates exactly with the WS Light Hub...so that an OGR DIY'er can save some serious coin vs. buying cables with connectors from WS.  If these connectors also work with your lighting kits then that's a bonus!

Conversely, knowing the connector would allow a DIY'er to build their own "Light Hub" that might have more features (e.g., wireless remote control) than the WS product.  This would then be compatible with existing WS lighting products.

Here's 50 sets for $5.79, assembled cables and matching sockets, eBay: 264315583049

That's a US seller, I'm sure they're cheaper from China.

For the "roll your own" crowd, here's 50 sets of connectors for $2.99, eBay: 303092440687

Yeah thats the ones I ended up with. Bought enough to do all 60 or so buildings and boards to mount them in groups if I ever reach that point.

Thanks
