any feedback on k line die cast rolling stock. Got a chance to pick up several items. I don’t currently have any of the k line die cast cars and was wondering about quality and compatibility with other cars. I believe these are Scale 3 rail cars.
will they work in a consist with the more common plastic body cars?

They are compatible with Lionel, Williams and Atlas 3 rail rolling stock. If you are running diecast and plastic rolling stock in a consist keep the diecast on the front end of the consist.

I have a few of the Lacawanna pieces. They are well detailed and quite heavy. I like them a lot and these days they are quite affordable.
Great stuff; have quite a few. Robust (delicate detailing annoys me). Often bargains.
I bought 10 NYC hoppers when they blew them out at $19.99 each. Heavy, roll only fair. Great looking and make the loco Work....which some folks may like!!!!
I have some diecast stuff, including some K-Line. They're nice cars, but if you have a lot of them in a consist, you may run into issues with grades and also couplers letting loose. As others have said, keep them near the front of the train if you're running lots of cars.
I have noticed when integrating them into my switching shunt puzzle some will not couple to MTH and Lionel cars as nice. The couplers take even MORE force to close
I have few K-line die-cast cars, maybe ten or so. I really don't see the point of them. Their detail is no better than plastic if as good. Like others say you really have to have them at the head of your train. Switching can be a problem and it really can make your engine work hard. Heavy is not always better. Don
Yep, I like properly weighted rolling stock, for instance, the Weaver stuff was frequently much too light. However, having all the weights pretty consistent generally yields the best running train.
