Can anyone tell me if this K-LIne engine has a chuffing sound? It has a whistle and horn both work fine.

Like how many people keep that stock number in the top of their head?
Internet searched the number. Found this page. Only mentions smoke and whistle.
That has the plain whistle board, no bell or chuffing sounds.

The whistle and horn both work? It has a whistle and horn? The ones I've seen just have a single tone whistle board.
For K Line the "W" in the item number indicates whistle and bell only no chuff.
Locos with the full railsounds package usually have an S or a CC.
it just so happens i own one! bell and whistle only, and fan driven smoke
This could help. Don
I'm interested in one of these as well. Is the k line version full scale or semi scale.
Cheers John
They're semi-scale, around 1:58 scale and similar in scale to the K-Line Allegheny. I've done upgrades on several of the K-Line Big Boys, and I have one of the K-Line Allegheny models.
Many thanks for the info.

scale rail: I'll 'Thank You' - for the helpful info you provided above - on behalf of uncle milty.
Hello again. Just purchased a Williams Crown Edition Camelback #5017 Reading. It still had the original tissue paper around both pieces. Sadly no instruction manual. The smoke unit doesn't work and I can't get any whistle sound. Not overly concerned about the smoke unit but a little disappointed about no sound. Did these even have a whistle originally?
