K-Line O Gauge Steam Switcher Steps

I have one of the K-Line A5 0-4-0 switcher locomotives that is missing the front steps. It appears that Lionel used the same or very, very similar tooling for their locomotives built after they bought out K-Line. Does anyone know if the front steps are interchangeable that I could buy them from Lionel and they would fit this locomotive?
