While perusing Lionel's parts lists for a current paint project, I ran across this reference to a K-Line car and parts:

Just found it odd for Lionel to reference K-Line parts.

Lionel produced K-Line for three years. They have a few K-line parts.

Lionel has re released items once made by K-Line. They are then given a Lionel item number. Most of the parts can be used on the original K-Line item as well as the Lionel remake. Lionel has also re released K-Line items, like their scale steam engines, but don't refer to them as K-Line by Lionel. Likewise parts for the Lionel version will work on the original K-Line item.
