Hi Guys, been dormat for some time , but as the colder weather comes, I startup the engines, LOL.  Anyways, got an interesting issue with K-line Plymouth switcher engine. Really nice detailed engine.  When I first got it moons ago, the smoke unit took a long time to get going.  This year and last, when I run it, it's drawing 20 volts from the tranformer, but with very little amperage.  Took it apart, ran without the shell, no change.  Dissembled the drive unit and cleaned the drive gears,  relubed with some new grease, still the same.  There seems to be no binding that I can find. With the increased voltage required to get it moving, the smoke unit works a little too well, LOL

Any ideas ?

When I first got it, it ran like GRJ's one, now not so much.  If the board was bad should I expect to see a significate increase in the amp draw ?  It's barely above 0.

Any part number for the motor, I might order it and try that, if the board is bad, then it will sit on the shelf and look nice

TIA, guys
