Just purchased a Reading K-line Crusader Set. Does anyone have a set of instructions for the 4-6-2 Pacific that they could E-mail me? Is there possibly a web site where I could download? Also, there was a package of two extra front trucks for the locomotive, some LED wiring, and three metal spacers marked for different radius curves (I think). What are these for? Does the set have two dome or observation style passenger cars that have a curved roof? If so one goes behind the tender and the other goes at the end of the train, for prototypical reversing of the passenger set. The engine and tender were run to the rear(switched) of the train and then run in reverse or forwards, instead of switching the passenger cars at a Y. The set should be silver or aluminum in color.

I don't have the instructions, but maybe you can see if the Lionel website may have them posted or Olsen's Toy Train repair.

The spacers and brackets are probally used with differant size curves.

The 2 extra trucks are for larger or smaller curves, depending on which truck is on there now. I believe the tender drawbar has a set of three different holes in it so that the spacing between the tender and engine can be adjusted for the different size curves. The 3 spacers are the step plate that goes between the cab and the tender, also different lengths for different cab/tender spacing.

 

The instruction sheet for the Pacific is most likely just the generic steam engine instruction sheet.

The K-Line set looks very nice and the passenger cars are the most prototypical looking of the three major companies that have done the Reading Crusader set.

 

Tim O, the engine by K-Line looks like it is a bit low in the rear side of the cab in the photo.

 

I have the MTH engine cab # 117 and one 15 inch K-Line passenger car # K4681-10002 for this set but am working on getting more K-Line passenger cars.
