Has anyone attended the Kingston Model Train and Railroad show in the past? Next show is October 29th.

It a bit over an hour's drive from here, an I'm curious if it is worth the trip.

Jim,
My wife and I had a table there for at least 2 years, several years ago (maybe 2005-2006-ish) when they were housed in a former IBM facility. One year the Esopus River overflowed and it was quite a chore getting around.
We enjoyed the shows and the people who ran it were very nice. However, it was a bit of a hike for us, as we used to live in Peekskill and we ended up doing shows closer to where we currently are. I see you are a tad closer.
I would say at least go once and see what you think. Back then, there was a good bunch of vendors including someone who had a good variety of vintage paper railroad items.

Different folks ran the show at the IBM facility.
That show was moved several times due to changing availability of venues.
It no longer exists.
Before the IBM facility, the show was held at the Kingston Armory.
That was a great show for me. Brisk sales and plenty for me to buy.
It was sad to see the IBM facility decay.
The first year the show was held on raised floor in what I was told was an equipment test center. The place was in great shape.
Over a period of several years the building decayed, and the show moved at least once to a different building in the complex. That building was also in poor shape.
The show then moved to a private gym facility further south.
The show died while using that location.
Back to the current Kingston show:
IMHO the fellows organizing that show do a great job. I look forward to attending!
is there a lot of "o" gauge at this show?
Yes,
We have many o scale vendors and have a great event worth attending from near and far. Thanks for the interest and look forward to seeing you on the 29th of Oct.
The old armory was great, but the last time I was at the show was twenty years ago.

It's probably worth an hours drive, it does have a small amount of O-gauge items , but, it's not like Allentown or York. It's a fairly small show. I go anyway to support a local club but I never find much.

CW, I'll have 3 tables there with Lionel, AF and HO. If you come this fall, look for the guy with the most AF. That'll be me and introduce yourself. We're practically neighbors!
I went last year, mainly to check out the O&W Historical Society table. It's a small show, but between it and the Kingston railroad club which is a short walk/drive from there, I'd say it was worth it. The club has an awesome 2-rail O-scale layout.
The Kingston Trolley Museum is nearby too.
Here is the TripAdvisor page on it.
