OK, here's three views from this afternoon. Two looking west toward the Hudson River, one east toward Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

When all the construction is done, it'll be good for the neighborhood. But, this building will be hemmed in by much taller buildings. The way of the city. And I'll miss the view of the tracks.

HI  All I have worked in west side yards  for many years. I don't know how they will

be able to work (railroad workers )  there in the summer months under that developement. The heat between tracks on a summer day can be 110 degrees and the noise from the equipment  that is layed up there  is very loud. I can't see them working there when the place is covered over. The walkways are  to narrow now also.I am  glad i am out of there !!!

It doesn't appear like the original open cut between the Post Office and your building is involved, so you'll still have this view to the east, at least for the near term.

Well, it's sort of hard to tell from the plans - but there's another development, Manhattan West, going up between where I work (450 W. 33rd) and the Farley Post Office, which will cover most, if not all of the view looking east. There's a former parking lot at the southwest corner of 9th Avenue and 33rd Street, where that red crane is on the left, where construction has begun.
