I have 12 18" MTH ACL p. cars behind an MTH ACL F-3 ABA, PSd-1; it is at its limit of drawbar, so I coupled an ACL switcher in front and with a bit of jiggling I got everything coordinated and away it went nicely. Is there some way to synchronize the two engines? The F3 has two can motors; the switcher (#57) has two flywheel equipped motors.

Your best bet is to run them both together, but not coupled, alone on the track. If they stay close together for a couple round trips, you should be ok. If one is significantly faster they will be working against each other when MU'd, and possibly end in not so favorable results.I don't think there is a simple electronic way to synchronize them.
Good suggestion John; I'll give it a try before I continue with the "lash-up". I'm just concerned about throwing the tires on the F3s with the heavy load.

John H; The smaller switcher runs somewhat faster than the ABA (to be expected) so I'm going to chance it with the Switcher in the lead (jiggle to match direction of both). It seems to have worked so far.
