Hi All,

I'm in Tel Aviv for work and we take a taxi to work outside of the city. On the way to work via taxi yesterday, we went through Jaffa and I saw this sculpture that I took a couple of pictures of it.  It represents the railroad right of way that was retired after the last train from Jaffa to Jerusalem was retired from service and moved to a different line.

I just thought I would pass it along.

Allan,

It was done in 1985 by a well-known, but controversial, contemporary artist in Israel. It is made of industrial scrap donated by the Israeli Railways.

Going there several times, I never had enough nerve to take their bus or railway public transportation system.  I always use taxis, Uber (formerly GetTaxi app), or hire private drivers.

Of course, lots for you to see and do if you have time.
