Good idea from Hotel "Alagare" in Lausanne/Switzerland they build an O scale layout in the floor of their breakfast room. The room itself is decorated as an Orient Express dinning car. It's a basic layout, can run 2 trains. The engines and rolling stock are all MTH and tracks are Lenz. The trains run for 2 minutes and are controlled by the customer.

Cool! The America's Best Value Inn in Holts Summit, MO, has a Holiday 3-rail layout every year that's open to the publiC until this weekend. There's a small display in their tiny breakfast room, but the big layout is in the conference room upstairs. Worth a visit!
I like that. Never thought about putting a train layout IN the floor.

The raised floor looks the same like the one we have in our computer room at work, but of course we don't have glass tiles. Makes me wonder if that stuff is expensive
