LCCA will be at Trainfest - November 9, 10 and 11
The LCCA will again be at Trainfest in Milwaukee on the weekend of November 9, 10 and 11. If you plan on attending, stop by and say hello. Trainfest is the largest operating model railroad show and this year is no exception. The LCCA booth will be there next to Lionel's display. Be sure to stop by. I hope to see you there!
The LCCA/Lionel FasTrack Modular Railroad made its debut during our 42nd Annual Convention in Norfolk, VA last July. The LCCA is bringing this modular railroad to TrainFest. We will need help in setting up, operating the layout during this weekend train show and then for the teardown. This is a golden opportunity for you to get involved with the club and introduce the Magic of Lionel Trains to thousands of people in just a couple of days.
If you and any of your friends are interested in helping out, please contact Dennis DeVito 574-870-0391, or dennisdevito@comcast.net<mailto:dennisdevito@comcast.net> or Al Kolis 248-709-4137 agkolis@comcast.net<mailto:agkolis@comcast.net>. For more information about our modular layout and kits, go to the "FasTrack Modular" section of our website www.lionelcollectors.org<ht...elcollectors.org> or the Lionel site at www.lionelstore.com<http://www.lionelstore.com>.
Recently, at a train show in York PA, we received overwhelming positive feedback about the introduction of our new LCCA/Lionel Fastrack Modular Railroad system. These modules can be used as a great show piece for any club, school, business, Boyscout/Girlscout organization etc. Each module can be custom decorated and landscaped to demonstrate your products, activities, business, school or organization. We hope this concept will continue to grow and bring new people into our hobby. I would love it if Boy Scout troops around the country, each built a module and then gathered together at a show to have a full operating Modular system.
You'll find us at a booth adjacent to the Lionel train layout and display. As we like to say, "Lionel is the COMPANY that makes the trains, and we are the CLUB that plays with the trains." See the Lionel display and speak with Lionel personal. Bring your children or a friend and introduce them to the magic of the train hobby and the camaraderie of the LCCA. We'll welcome them into the club as new members of the best toy train club on the planet! We hope to see you there!
