LED light bulb suggestions

If you're talking about replacing the incandescent bayonet bulbs with LEDs, yes there are options.  I bought the ones at the end, I got the info from my paypal receipt, but I couldn't find the original purchase or website.  Google on 'frosted led ba9s' and you should find something.  The frosting distributes the illumination pretty well IMHO.

I was looking for the same thing. I’m rewiring some 2400 series passenger cars and wanted to try LED’s. One source I found was Town and Country hobbies. Has anyone tried these before?

i can see where the frosted may be better as they will defuse the light as mentioned.

A disclaimer, I put that bulb in my #60 trolley for a brighter light AND to reduce heat. I think it would be fine in a passenger car but I don’t have any on hand to try it out.

The left is the Town& Country LED. The right is the original incandescent from Lionel.

I used the Town and Country LED bulbs in some Williams passenger cars. I put some aluminum tape used for sealing duct seams on the roof to help disperse the light.  Sorry no pictures.
