for those who are currently running both systems..

can you share pictures of the set up..

and weigh in with the pros and cons..

I have mth but would like to run any train on my O scale tracks..I am not into conventional mode..

I only want to run trains..I like to have a train running on the main line, a parked train to talk and an engine to do switching work...

a few queries...

mth transmits on the center rail..does legacy transmit on the outer rails?

I have 15 passenger cars..draws 6 amps...when I add engines my Lionel 180 watt brick pops..

is this a problem with legacy?  my wiring is star pattern.. and I am going to run 2 power supplies through my TIU..and se if that eliminates my current draw...

thanks

You can only run 10 amps through any one channel on a TIU.  You didn't say whether you have any blocks set up.  You may need to break the layout down into multiple power districts to avoid hitting the 10 amp limit.

Legacy/TMCC are radio based.  The outer rails of the track coupled with the ground wires of your house constitute the rf environment the engines run in.
