remove batteries and reinsert, see if that works.
tried that still not working
When you press the start button to turn it on hit it a second time you will find a screen that you will have to look through that has the bright and dim settings like a TV. You probably hit the button and didn't realize it. Have done it myself.
After turning on the CAB2 with the CTC button, if you see the home screen which says "scroll to continue" (since you have a completely blue screen, hold the CAB2 at an angle which allows you to see the printing on the screen faintly...tip the top of the CAB2 down and look at an angle...possibly under some direct lighting) then rotate the big red knob until you see "SYSTEM SETTINGS" and "Display Contrast" and push a numbered button for the desired contrast...like maybe push #5 for 50%. If you do not see the home screen at first, push CTC again to see the home screen. "SYSTEM SETTINGS", by the way, has a variety of settings.
What John said
The only thing I added was that a totally blue screen makes it difficult to see the writing on the screen. Experiment with the angle of viewing.
Excellent point Chuck, I just tried it. Even at 9, if you tilt it the right way, you can still read the screen enough to beat it back into submission.
thanks,I will try the above
that worked I am back in business
thanks to all
Bill
