Legacy Engine runs at one low speed | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I've been running a few legacy engines without a problem; until today. When I powered up the cab 2 today i had an engine on each main they've been there for two weeks running every couple of days. When I selected the first one the whistle blew constantly. I shut it down and tried the engine on the other track and got the same reaction. Ather trying different things, with both engines shut down and power off i shut down the cab two and removed power from the base. When I reapplied power and brought up each engine, they started up normal. I started running a cab 1 it was fine. I started the legacy it seemed fine until i applied more power; it just ran at the same low speed. I switched it too the other main and there was no improvement.

Did I inadvertently change a setting? If so How do i change it back.

BTW the P2 I was asking about a few weeks ago is out for an upgrade; and the MTH IVES engine that was DOA is at the train doctor.

Check the train brake slider.

Do you have a speed limit set for that engine?

I Turned it off an on and then I had no speed. I shut down the track, remote and base. When I brought it back up it’s working!
