I have had a Legacy K4 for a number of years and was never very interested in smoke but recently tried it and it was not functioning ( explanes the flashing cab light). I removed the shell and found it was missing the double ended male jumper cable from the board to the smoke unit. any Idea where I could get one other than waiting forever for Lionel to get back on its feet. if I could find the ends I could make one. thanks in advance for any help. Rick

Engine part number? Pictures? MM spacing between the two pins?
The smoke unit and RCMC have a 4-pin JST-PH 2mm spacing connector. I believe the connections are 1:1, but a look at Bruk's RCMC connections diagrams will verify that.
thanks John. if all else fails I can hard wire them. where are these diagrams you mentioned. Rick
They're in the TMCC/Legacy pinned Documentation thread. Here's a link to the latest versions.
Thanks for all the info Gunrunnerjohn. found the connectors online and mad up a dual ended jumper and loco is back in service. the loco has two smoke units one up front and one mid way , I don't see what the second one does or how you would fill it. loco has on off switches for smoke. Aux smoke , run program and odeysy . the manual that was with the loco makes no mention of aux smoke or does it show what it does. any ideas. Rick
The second one is the whistle smoke, you take off the dome that the whistle is mounted on and that's the fill for that smoke unit. If you're not using it, you should turn off the aux smoke switch, but I'd just put some smoke fluid it in and enjoy the extra feature.
