I noticed last night when running my train layout with my Legacy controller that my cab 2 is running v1.70 when the latest is v1.72. Can someone tell me what is different between the two versions? Is it worth doing the upgrade? I am not tech savvy when doing these upgrades and may avoid it if it is not really worthwhile.

Thanks!
John

1.72 fixed the following

• Fix issue with Legacy crane type
• Added new sound type for future Legacy cranes
• Additional optimizations for Base3 compatibility

1.74 is the latest with these fixes and enhancements.

•Fix issues with Train and Route builders
• Additional optimizations for Base3 compatibility

If you have a PC, the LSU (Legacy System Utility), a writable module, and a way to connect the PC to the Legacy Base either wired serially or over WiFi via the LCS WiFi module you just need to download the software and extract it.  I would create a base module first, upgrade the base, and then a Cab module and upgrade the Cab2.

Eric's Train did a pretty good video on upgrading.
